Eaton donates $10,000 to benefit Cass Lake Bena Family Council

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it has donated $10,000 to benefit Cass Lake Bena Family Council who has been serving at-risk families and children in the rural town of Cass Lake and surrounding area (Independent School District 115) since 1994. The Cass Lake Bena Family Council mission states "Helping Community Build Strong Families" which means ensuring a healthy home and family for every child especially those who cannot speak for themselves. The funds donated by Eaton Corporation will be used to buy Christmas gifts for children in the Foster Care System. "Eaton has a long history of supporting our work," said Joanne Mulbah from Cass Lake Bena Family Council. "This generous gift is another example of their solid commitment to the community." Eaton employees have supported the Council for more than 10 years by purchasing holiday gifts for foster children. Approximately 30% of the employees participate in this project each year by donating gifts of about $50 to each child. "Ensuring that Cass Lake continues to provide assistance to those in need is very important," said Lee Marske, plant manager for the Eaton facility. "We're all proud to work for a company with such a strong tradition of giving back to the community." Eaton's facility in Eden Prairie is part of the company's hydraulics business where they manufacture hydraulic steering units and motors. Approximately 290 people work at the site.
