Eaton donates $5,000 to the American Cancer Society

TOCCOA, GA ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that it has donated $5,000 to the American Cancer Society in Toccoa. The funds will support community education and prevention programs.

"Eaton has a long history of supporting the American Cancer Society in Toccoa," said Sharon Cornelison, the American Cancer Society's Community Manager. "This money will go a long way to increase awareness of this disease and contribute to our mission of reducing the risks for our children and future generations."

The donation supports Eaton's ongoing commitment to the American Cancer Society that includes an emphasis on employee volunteers. Eaton employees have been involved in the society's Relay for Life event for the past six years. In 2005, Eaton contributed a total of $10,000 to the American Cancer Society.

"It's a good feeling to know our community will benefit from better educational programs designed to prevent and reduce the risk of getting cancer," said Lorry Jackson, plant manager for the Eaton site. "We're proud to be associated with the American Cancer Society."
