Eaton Wins Control Engineering Magazine Customer Satisfaction Awards
Cutler-Hammer Takes Top Prize In Sensor, Motor Starter Categories
5/03/04 - Pittsburgh, PA... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that its Cutler-Hammer® brand sensors and motor starters were recently voted best in the marketplace in a customer satisfaction survey commissioned by industry-leading publication Control Engineering. Cutler-Hammer products placed first in the Photoelectric and Proximity Sensor, as well as Solid-State Motor Starter categories.
"We are very happy to be recognized by the readers of Control Engineering," said Jim McGill, General Manager/Vice-President, Industrial Controls Division at Eaton's electrical business. "These awards reflect our commitment to provide our customers with the industry's best products and services through a solutions approach to customer needs, R&D and manufacturing processes, and our services and support group."
Sixteen product categories and 92 manufacturers were included in the Control Engineering Customer Satisfaction Survey, and over 2,300 responses were tallied. A weighting algorithm was developed that produced customer satisfaction index values. An index value of 100 was a perfect score.
Cutler-Hammer branded products scored an index value of 86.19 in topping the photoelectric & proximity sensor category and an index value of 75.45 in getting highest honors in the solid-state motor starters. Eaton was the only company to capture top positions in two different product categories.
Control Engineering focuses on engineers and technical management personnel who design, develop, and apply the control, information and instrumentation systems throughout the U.S. and Europe. The magazine covers the worldwide market for controls, instrumentation and automation systems for discrete, process, batch, and mixed applications
