Eaton Donates $5,000 To Positively Spencer Youth
SPENCER, Iowa … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it has donated $5,000 to benefit Positively Spencer Youth (PSY). The funds will be used to provide forums and speakers to raise awareness and provide much needed information about the dangers of substance abuse. It will also help fund special events for students and parents along with printing literature distributed during events and other activities throughout the year.
PSY, established in 2005, is an organization with a mission to create an environment in the community that encourages and rewards substance-free lifestyles. PSY focuses on providing education and information for the entire community on making positive life-choices in an effort to change the current attitude.
“Eaton is committed to giving something back to the communities where they do business,” said Tara Hinderks, human resources generalist, Eaton’s Spencer location. “We’re proud to play a part in the positive development of the children of our community.”
Eaton’s facility in Spencer, part of the company’s hydraulics operations, employs approximately 400 people who produce hydraulic pumps and motors.
