Roadranger® Offers Extended Protection Plan for Vocational Vehicles
LAS VEGAS … Fleets and owner-operators who specialize in mixer, dump, refuse, logging, mining and other vocational applications may now purchase extended warranties on Eaton and Dana drivetrain components. The new Roadranger Extended Protection Plan is available for one or two years of additional protection and covers all of Fuller® medium- and heavy-duty transmissions, Fuller medium- and heavy-duty clutches, and Dana’s Spicer® medium- and heavy-duty drive axles. Extended mileage plans will also be available (complete program details will be on roadranger.com in mid-February).
“The program includes full parts and labor coverage for all warranty work, regardless of the severity of the application,” said Rick Muth, manager of lubricants and special programs for the Roadranger service program. “We see it as a very attractive investment for our vocational customers who want to ensure that their vehicles are always operating at maximum efficiency and performance.”
Muth noted that warranty servicing is available at all North American original equipment manufacturer (OEM) dealerships, which includes more than 3,500 authorized locations. All replacement parts will be genuine components from Dana and Eaton and the same as those used in the original vehicle. Coverage is completely transferable to a second owner of the vehicle.
Purchasing the extended protection plans is simple, added Muth. Fleets and truck owners are given the option to include the cost of plans into the financing of new vehicles, or select and purchase online (the expanded programs will be available mid-February 2007) at roadranger.com and pay separately “Repairing any vehicle with genuine parts from Dana and Eaton has never been easier,” said Muth. “And with more and more fleets and truck operators keeping their vehicles well beyond the original warranty period, we see the protection plans as a great way to make the most of your new truck investment.”
Roadranger Extended Protection Plan coverage requires the use of Roadranger lubricants or fluids meeting the Eaton Transmission Specification PS 164Rev. 7 or Dana Axle Specification SHAES256 Rev. C.
