Eaton Donates $15,000 to The Center for Leadership in Education

CLEVELAND … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it has donated $15,000 to benefit The Center for Leadership in Education in Lorain County. The funds will be used for building increased capacity, primarily expanding the Center’s work in leadership development for schools and districts.

“Eaton’s generous donation is a real example of the company’s commitment to the community,” said Roderick Braye, The Center’s interim president and CEO. “We’re fortunate to have the support of businesses like Eaton that help sustain our work and allow us to thrive.”

The mission of The Center for Leadership in Education is to guide the implementation of best practices that transform teaching, learning and leadership. The Center was created to be a catalyst for change through the systematic restructuring of schools in Lorain County and has grown beyond those borders to include Lakewood, Strongsville, Westlake, and East Cleveland.

“We’re proud to be able to support the important work of The Center and the benefits it brings to students, teachers, and school leaders in our area,” said Barry Doggett, Eaton vice president, Public & Community Affairs, and board chairman of The Center. “Eaton is firmly committed to supporting the communities in which we do business.”

From 2004 to 2005, Eaton contributed $20,000 to The Center for Leadership in Education.
