Eaton Donates $5,000 To Benefit Lakewood Ranch YMCA
SARASOTA, Fla. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it has donated $5,000 to benefit Lakewood Ranch Branch YMCA of Manatee County. Funds will be used to support the summer day camp where children participate in archery, arts and crafts, drama, field trips, and swimming lessons.
“This generous contribution is an investment in our local children whose lives will be enriched by attending summer camp,” said associate branch director, Adam Schrott. “We really appreciate Eaton’s commitment and support.”
The mission of the Lakewood Ranch YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body. The organization has served more than 11,000 individuals in 2006, of which 4,700 are members.
“We recognize the need for summer care programs for older children in our community,” said Preston Mathis, plant manager, Eaton’s Sarasota facility. “Eaton is committed to giving something back to the communities in which we do business.”
