NAPA Honors Eaton As 2006 Heavy Duty Supplier Of The Year
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has been named 2006 Heavy Duty Supplier of the Year by NAPA Auto Parts. The award recognizes the performance of Eaton’s Hydraulics Operations plants in Cleveland, Tenn., and Columbia City, Ind., and its sales, marketing, and customer support teams.
For the second consecutive year, Eaton was the only supplier to earn the top recognition from NAPA’s Heavy Duty Sales group for achievements in nine important business areas: sales promotions, marketing plans, shipping, product quality, local sales support, in-field training, cataloging, communications and clinics/technical information.
Eaton supplies Weatherhead(R) hose and fittings for trucks and construction equipment to NAPA’s 65 distribution centers, which supply more than 6,000 NAPA stores in the U.S.
In presenting the award at a reception in Dallas, Texas, NAPA’s Heavy Duty General Manager Jack Moller said, “I am truly honored to announce that Eaton is the 2006 NAPA Heavy Duty Supplier of the Year. I just can’t say enough about Eaton’s efforts and dedication to our success. The quality of Eaton products is excellent.”
“Our sales growth was very positive in 2006, with out-the-door sales being up close to 6 percent. This was the result of Eaton collaborating with us to make sales happen by developing a strategic plan with our sales force and making sure the plan was executed,” said Moller. “Eaton showed the true power of partnership and teamwork, and for that I say thank you.”
