Eaton Donates $31,000 To Benefit Ideastream
CLEVELAND … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it has donated $31,000 to ideastream, a non-profit, public service, multiple media organization formed in 2001 to deliver high quality public broadcasting and related services to Northeastern and North Central Ohio. The grant will be used to support the WVIZ auction and programming on community issues.
"We’re extremely proud to be involved with ideastream," said Jim Sweetnam, Eaton’s senior vice president and president ─ Truck Group. "Eaton is committed to supporting the work of local organizations such as ideastream that help enrich the lives of our citizens."
The ideastream public broadcasting outlets, WVIZ/PBS and 90.3 WCPN, reach an audience base approaching 3.5 million, with 1.35 million people tuning-in during any given week for award-winning, locally produced programming complementing PBS, National Public Radio and independent productions.
Ideastream educational services supports 115 public school districts and 190 private schools including more than 500,000 elementary and high school students. Ideastream also broadcasts community college and university credit courses and presents workshops for teachers, school administrators and caregivers.

Eaton’s World Headquarters is located in Cleveland. Almost 1,000 employees work in Cleveland and the surrounding areas.
