Eaton Unveils Next Generation ConnectorEliminating The Need For Special Ports And Tools
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation introduces its next generation connector called STC® EZ-Torque. STC EZ-Torque is compatible with standard threaded ports and can be installed without the need of a port adapter. The use of STC EZ-Torque also eliminates the need for special ports and tools. STC EZ-Torque pushes the envelope of possibilities for fluid connections.
"STC EZ-Torque is a unique concept," said Jerry Welch, product manager – Eaton’s Hydraulics Operations. This new fitting is compatible with most common threaded ports. The new connector opens up new opportunities and solutions in both mobile and stationary applications.”
"The STC EZ-Torque system is now available in the ORB and ISO 6149 thread styles and the BSPP and Metric configurations will be available later in 2007. We are confident that users will identify with the many benefits offered by the product," asserts Welch. "Working together with our other successful fluid conveyance product launches like WALRing and EZ-Clip, STC EZ-Torque solidifies Eaton's position even more as a leading innovator."
“STC EZ-Torque is an innovative solution that simplifies port connections by allowing direct connection to existing ports," said Jason Dahms, lead engineer – Eaton’s Hydraulics Operations.
In addition to connecting to common threaded ports and eliminating the need for an adapter, STC EZ-Torque reduces hose fitting installation time that could provide increased throughput and productivity. The lock-down or anti-rotation design feature allows for the installer to orient the connection with the proper phase angle.
