LAURINBURG, N.C. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced it has donated $30,000 to Hospice of Scotland County. The funds will be used to add additional beds to Morrison Manor, a project estimated at $1 million.
“There is a high level of employee engagement and community involvement at Eaton,” said Linda McQueen, executive director, Hospice of Scotland County. “They are committed to improving life in our community and that includes the important mission and services that we provide.”
Hospice of Scotland County was established in 1985 as a not-for profit agency. In 2005, it opened its six-bed residential facility, Morrison Manor. Since opening, more than 100 residents have received specialized hospice care at the facility.
For the past twenty years, employees at Eaton’s Golf Grip Division in Laurinburg have raised more than $2 million to support Hospice of Scotland County by holding an annual charity golf tournament.
“Over the years, Hospice has served many families of Eaton employees,” said Lisa Dickerson, human resources manager, Eaton’s Laurinburg facility. “We’re proud to be associated with this incredible organization and the critical work they do.”
