Eaton Donates $8,475 To Ronald McDonald House® Of Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it donated $8,475 to the Ronald McDonald House® of Memphis (RMH). Funds will be used to purchase a commercial-size washing machine and dryer for the house located on Alabama Avenue in Memphis, Tenn.

“Thanks to the generosity of companies like Eaton, RMH is able to continue working to better the lives of children and their families around the world,” said Sandra McQuain, board president, RMH of Memphis “We are very grateful for their support.”

RMH provides lodging and emotional support to seriously ill children, their parents and siblings who have traveled great distances to receive specialized medical care. The house serves as a temporary residence near the medical facility where family members can sleep, eat, relax and find support from other families in similar situations. In return, families are asked to make a donation ranging on average from $5 to $20 per day, but if that isn't possible, their stay is free. Since 1974, millions of families around the world have called Ronald McDonald House a "home-away-from-home."

“Eaton is proud to be able to help out these families and children who are battling for their lives,” said Zolla Kyle, Human Resources manager, Eaton’s Memphis facility. “We’re committed to giving back to the communities in which we do business.”

Eaton’s Memphis facility, part of the company’s hydraulics business, employs approximately 75 people who remanufacture hydraulic pumps and motors and fabricate hydraulic power systems for John Deere, Caterpillar, Motion Industries, Berendse and Case New Holland.
