Eaton Supports Jackson-Area Organizations With $45,000 In Grants

JACKSON, Mich. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it donated $45,000 to support local community organizations in the Jackson, Mich., area. The grants will be used to sustain various activities and programs benefiting citizens throughout the region.

"Eaton recognizes the importance of giving back to the communities in which we do business," said Andy Weeks, vice president and general manager, Eaton’s Aerospace Operations – Conveyance Systems Division. "We are proud to partner with these organizations that provide valuable support and life-enriching services to the citizens of Jackson and the surrounding areas."

Funding recipients include:

• Jackson County Parks & Recreation Department - $20,000 to upgrade the facilities at Cascades County Park and enhance the natural water features of the lagoons and ponds.

• American Cancer Society - $10,000 towards their mission of educating and supporting survivors and increasing awareness of the disease.

• Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation - $10,000 to aid in the research on type 1 diabetes and resulting complications.

• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jackson County, Inc. - $5,000 to support the community and school volunteer mentoring programs.

Eaton has three locations in Jackson and approximately 700 employees. The two aerospace facilities make hoses, tubes and couplings for worldwide commercial and military markets. The hydraulics facility makes pneumatic and hydraulic tie-rod cylinders for the industrial manufacturing market.
