Eaton Supports Toccoa-Area Organizations With $25,000 In Grants
TOCCOA, Ga. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today that it donated $25,000 to support local community organizations in the Toccoa, Ga., area. The grants will be used to sustain various activities and programs benefiting citizens throughout the region.
"Eaton recognizes the importance of giving back to the communities in which we do business," said Anthony Harrison, Human Resources manager, Eaton’s Toccoa facility. "We are proud to partner with these organizations that provide valuable support and life-enriching services to the citizens of Toccoa and the surrounding areas."
Funding recipients include:
• Step of Faith Outreach - $10,000 to aid the General Education Development (GED) program for up to 25 people from impoverished families.
• American Cancer Society - $5,000 towards their mission of educating and supporting survivors and increasing awareness of the disease.
• Boys & Girls Clubs of Toccoa - $5,000 to support the youth summer program addressing the need for safe and meaningful activities during vacation time.
• Habitat for Humanity - $5,000 for a new water line to a house being built for a single mom raising four foster children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Eaton’s facility in Toccoa, part of the company’s Aerospace Operations, employs approximately 150 people who support and manufacture clamps, couplings, flanges and ducting products for aerospace applications.
