Vickers Adds New Products To Screw-in Valves Portfolio For Stationary And On/Off Highway Applications

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announces the expansion of its Vickers line of screw-in cartridge valves (SiVCs). Incorporating the some of the best technology available on the market today, 30+ new products have been released, ensuring that Eaton offers the widest choice in the industry of proven SiCVs for applications in stationary and on/off highway equipment. With increased focus on market demands and with strong emphasis on modular circuit design (MCD), Vickers SiVCs provide total system solutions for the harshest of environments.

Vickers’ range of high-performance SiVCs cover sizes up to 350 bar and 150 l/min. — direct acting, proportional and solenoid, flow control, pressure control and directional control – supported by a comprehensive range of logic elements. All SiCVs are National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) rated, to guarantee high performance. All solenoids have an environmental standard rating of 1P69K, making them optimal for harsh environments, such as off-highway equipment, wind power and steel mills.

The new Vickers SiCVs include:

• 18 proportional valves, sizes 8, 10 and 12

• 11 valves in the size 12 range

• Extended stainless steel range

Vickers also emphasizes MCDs, the future trend in hydraulic circuits. MCDs combine multiple cartridge valves in a common manifold block, which offers substantial cost savings. MCDs can be as extensive as necessary to meet the most complex hydraulic applications or as simple as a few cartridges.

Vickers designs and manufactures all MCD packages to customer specifications. Manifolds can be designed to hold the requisite cartridges, pilot pistons, orifice discs, or any other components needed for individual applications and integrated with other Eaton components. Standard cavity tooling provides precision machining of the cartridge cavities.

While offering the same control functions as traditional hydraulic valves, Vickers SiVCs have many advantages:

• Better efficiency and response times with fewer hoses, tubes and fittings

• Fewer leakage points, ensuring cleaner, safer application environments

• More compact, saving space and weight

• Multiple mounting configurations for maximum design flexibility
