EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today its Hydraulics Operations has introduced a new pressure gauge test kit for use by maintenance, repair, and operations personnel in diagnosing and monitoring the performance of hydraulic systems and equipment. The new kit is ideal for testing hydraulic systems on agricultural, construction, on-highway and industrial equipment.

The kit contains a selection of screw-together test couplings and adapters to meet most requirements plus hose assemblies and three precision, glycerin-filled gauges with dual scales, built-in relief valves and shatter-resistant acrylic lenses. It is compatible with all hydraulic and mineral-based fluids, and Eaton diagnostic couplings and oil sampling valves.

The pressure gauge test kit can be used to check system pressures up to 630 bar (9,000 psi), and can be connected to working systems at pressures up to 354 bar (5,000 psi). Connections are leak free, using a piston valve which remains shut until the connection is completed. This minimizes both fluid loss and the possibility contaminants are introduced as well as improving operator safety.

Couplings and adapters supplied with the pressure gauge test kit are made of high-strength steel which is zinc nickel plated to prevent corrosion. The hose assemblies have a nominal 2 mm (0.08”) bore and a 20 mm (0.75”) bend radius. Viton^® (DUPONT PERFORMANCE ELASTOMERS LLC) seals are used in all components of the pressure gauge test kit.
