Eaton’s Hydraulics Operations Introduces New Programmable Displays For Electro-hydraulic Systems

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has added display systems to its rapidly growing line of electro-hydraulic technologies. The new systems are built around Eaton’s programmable VFX controllers which display information on liquid crystal displays offered in 6.5 and 10.4 inch models.

Two different VFX controllers are included in the new product offering:

• The VFX 1000 solely for display control, and

• The VFX 2000 for display control with additional digital input/output capabilities

Both controllers have standard CANbus communication capabilities for easy interfacing with other electro-hydraulic system components. They are fully compatible with Eaton’s previously introduced EFX controllers and EFX IO modules.

Eaton’s new liquid crystal displays can be panel mounted or integrated into vehicle dashboards for mobile applications. A mounting arm is also available which permits flexible positioning of the display unit.

Content creation and display programming is accomplished with standard Eaton CONTROL F(x)(tm) software, a globally-enabled, IEC 61131-3 compatible package that permits users to combine a broad range of components into reliable electro-hydraulic systems. The software incorporates extensive modularity and scalability to enable a high degree programming efficiency.
