Eaton Receives Coveted Supplier Quality Award

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that its Belmond, Iowa, engine valve manufacturing plant has received Silver Status Supplier Quality Excellence Certification from Caterpillar, Inc.

“We’re extremely honored to receive this recognition as it validates the hard work and focus of our employees,” said Joe Palchak, Eaton vice president and president – Engine Air Management Operations.

Eaton’s Belmond facility supplies Caterpillar with various types and sizes of engine valves that go into Caterpillar’s industrial, marine and on-highway diesel engines.

With sales of $1.6 billion in 2007 and 11,000 employees around the world, Eaton’s Automotive Group supplies the passenger car, light-truck and commercial vehicle industries with critical components that reduce emissions and fuel consumption and improve vehicle stability and performance.
