Eaton Donates $15,000 To Cass Lake Bena Family Council
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today it donated $15,000 to Cass Lake Bena Family Council (CLBFC). Funds will be used to provide gifts, food and basic needs for agency clients.
“Eaton employees are very engaged in the work that we do,“ said Tom Blackbird, director – CLBFC. “Without their holiday donations, some of our children wouldn’t receive any gifts at Christmas. We can’t thank them enough for their support.”
CLBFC has been serving at-risk families and children in the rural town of Cass Lake and the surrounding area since 1994. Their mission states "helping community build strong families" which means ensuring a healthy home and family for every child, especially those who cannot speak for themselves.
Eaton employees have supported CLBFC for more than 10 years by purchasing holiday gifts for foster children. Approximately 30 percent of the employees participate in this project each year by donating gifts of about $50 to each child.
"Ensuring that Cass Lake continues to provide assistance to people in need is very important," said Lee Marske, plant manager, Eaton’s Eden Prairie facility. "Giving something back to the community is a hallmark of Eaton’s culture."
Eaton's facility in Eden Prairie, part of the company's Hydraulics Operations, employs approximately 260 people who manufacture hydraulic steering units and motors.
