Eaton Donates $10,000 To Union Rescue Mission

LOS ANGELES … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced a “Powering Communities Grant” of $10,000 to benefit Union Rescue Mission. Funds will be used for the Hope Gardens Family Center, a ministry of Union Rescue Mission.

“We are very grateful for this generous donation from Eaton Corporation,” said the Rev. Andy Bales, chief executive officer, Union Rescue Mission. “The company’s contribution will help us continue to put smiles on the faces of our local women and children who are working towards making a fresh start in their lives.”

Hope Gardens Family Center serves as a transitional living facility for more than 200 women and children. The center primarily provides shelter and also teaches women the skills to maintain a stable environment for their families. In addition, the center offers programs to address the root causes of homelessness, focusing on financial, emotional, physical, spiritual, vocational and academic elements. The center is currently home for 25 families with 48 children.

“Eaton is committed to giving something back to the communities in which we work,” said Maurice Harris, plant manager, Eaton’s Los Angeles facility. “We are proud to support organizations such as the Union Rescue Mission because of the valuable services and benefits they provide to the residents of our community and the surrounding area.”
