Eaton Supports Toccoa-Area Organizations With $25,000 Donation

Toccoa, Ga. …Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced several “Powering Communities Grants” to support local community organizations in the Toccoa area. The $25,000 in grants will be used to augment and enhance various programs and activities benefiting citizens throughout the region.

Ensuring these organizations are able to continue providing education and support within the community is very important,” said Timothy Fairchild, plant manager at Eaton’s aerospace facility in Eastanolee, Ga. “It feels good to work for a company with such a strong tradition of giving back to the community.”

Funding recipients include:

• Boys & Girls Club - $10,000 to underwrite the costs of hiring three staff positions for the new teen center that will serve 100 youth.

• Fight Abuse In The Home (FAITH) in Rabun County - $10,000 to sponsor free and confidential services to adult and child survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and rape.

• Stephens County Middle School - $5,000 to provide a document camera for overhead projection in the school’s piano lab.

Eaton’s facility in Toccoa, Ga., part of the company’s Aerospace business, employs approximately 170 people.
