Eaton Introduces Environmentally Sealed Switches for Performance Market

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced the expansion of its Aeroquip® Performance Products line with environmentally sealed switches for automotive and marine racing vehicles.

The toggle switches for ignition/start and accessory-control applications feature an integrated rubber boot that encases all electrical components, thereby sealing them from dust, dirt, grime, moisture, and other contaminants that are common to dirt track and other racing environments.

The success of Eaton toggle switches for aerospace and electrical applications led to the new Aeroquip performance market switches that are designed to meet IP68. They feature a water-tight seal per MIL-STD-108E and thermoset molding materials that meet flame retardant requirements.

The switches feature one-, two-, and three-pole circuitry; molded-in terminal inserts and numbers; and one-hole mounting for easy installation. Offering a temperature range from

-50°F to +150°F (-46°C to +66°C), they performed 20,000 operations at rated load during laboratory testing.
