CLEVELAND … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that Rachael Elliott has been named to the new position of director – Alternative Energy Segment, effective Feb. 1. Elliott will report directly to Jeffrey Krakowiak, senior vice president – Sales and Marketing.

“Rachael will be responsible for leading the company’s global effort to profitably grow sales in the wind, solar, nuclear and other alternative energy segments,” Krakowiak said. “Our corporate portfolio for these segments is growing and we need a coordinated effort across all our businesses to capitalize on our global market opportunities.”

Elliott will be located at Eaton’s Electrical Group headquarters in Cherrington, Penn., and will work directly with the sales and marketing leaders across all of Eaton’s businesses to develop a coordinated approach to growing sales in this segment.

Elliott joined Eaton in 2006 as General Motors global customer director where she led efforts that resulted in Eaton being named a GM Supplier of the Year in 2007. Prior to joining Eaton, she was global director of sales with Dana Corporation's Thermal Products Division. She holds a master’s degree in organizational communication, public relations and marketing and a bachelor’s degree in business from Wayne State University in Michigan.
