EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced it is continuing over 20 years of support of People Reaching Out to Other People, Inc., (PROP) with a contribution from the Eaton Charitable Fund.
Eaton’s Hydraulics Group donated $20,000 from the Eaton Charitable Fund to the nonprofit human services agency during a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at PROP’s new location at 14700 Martin Drive in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The donation will be used to support PROP’s work in providing food and financial assistance for people in temporary need.
Steve Pilotti, vice president of human resources for Eaton’s Hydraulics Group, presented Eaton’s donation to PROP’s Dan Schmid, treasurer, and Anne Harnack, director. Pilotti said Eaton is very pleased to contribute to PROP.
“The Eaton Charitable Fund actively supports programs that improve the quality of life in communities in which Eaton operates,” Pilotti said. “Providing assistance to our neighboring organization is especially important during these tough economic times when many families are struggling financially. We are grateful for the important role this organization serves in our community and to be able to fund its programs that support human dignity.”
Eaton Eden Prairie employees support PROP through annual food drives and fundraising events. Other local agencies receiving donations from the Eaton Charitable Fund in 2009 include Bridging ($10,000), Cass Lake Community Center ($15,000) and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare ($5,000).
