Eaton Grows Presence in Russia; Corporate Office Established in Moscow

Date: October 1, 2009

CLEVELAND ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation this week held a number of events to celebrate the official opening of the company’s corporate office in Moscow, Russia. The events, attended by employees, customers and members of the media, highlighted the expansion of Eaton’s former electrical office. The facility now accommodates all of Eaton’s various businesses and corporate functions in Russia.

“Since the acquisition of Powerware in 2004, Eaton has grown significantly in Russia and we expect this to continue,” said Thomas S. Gross, vice chairman and chief operating officer, Eaton’s Electrical Sector. “Locating a corporate office in Moscow solidifies Eaton’s commitment to our Russian customers and this important region.”

Eaton initially assumed residency in the building following the 2004 acquisition of Powerware. Recent acquisitions and new business opportunities are continuing to expand Eaton’s presence.

Recently, Eaton announced a cooperative agreement with Russian Helicopters, JSC, for parts assembly in Russia and was selected to supply the hydraulic system for the new MC21 single-aisle aircraft line to be produced by Irkut Corporation. In addition, the acquisitions of MGE office protection systems and the Moeller Group expanded Eaton’s role in Russia, enabling customers to source power distribution, power quality and industrial automation from a single provider.

Eaton Corporation is a diversified power management company with 2008 sales of $15.4 billion. Eaton is a global technology leader in electrical components and systems for power quality, distribution and control; hydraulics components, systems and services for industrial and mobile equipment; aerospace fuel, hydraulics and pneumatic systems for commercial and military use; and truck and automotive drivetrain and powertrain systems for performance, fuel economy and safety. Eaton has approximately 70,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 150 countries.
