Eaton Launches 168 New Aeroquip® TTC Wire Braid Hose Fittings That Are Non-Brazed, With Slip-Over Nuts For Rugged, Leak-Resistant Assemblies

Date: November 20, 2009

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced the availability of 168 new leak-resistant 1- and 2-wire braid hose fittings from its Aeroquip® TTC™ product line. The new TTC fittings include a total of 60 different terminal ends plus 16 entirely new fitting styles. Included in this expansive offering are a number of additional metric hose fittings that will enable Eaton customers to service equipment manufactured overseas.

“The new TTC fittings offer a significant performance and technology upgrade,” said Todd Pinkelman, Eaton senior product manager. “New features include non-brazed, one-piece nipples, full-flow elbows, and an all-new captive slip-over nut design.

“Slip-over nuts are more resistant to over-torquing and also transmit less torque to the backup hex,” Pinkelman said. “The result is a more robust fitting with fewer potential leak-points and pressure ratings up to 6,000 psi on selective fitting designs.”

“We have also added a significant number of metric fittings to the TTC product offering to support the growing inventory of metric-dimensioned equipment in North America,” Pinkelman said. “These new fittings include many of the widely-used metric jump sizes that have not been available previously.”

Aeroquip TTC hose fittings are available in conjunction with qualified hose products on Aeroquip’s recently-announced MatchMate® Global EN-rated GH120, GH663, GH781, GH793, and GH493 hose as well as comparable hose with traditional Society of Automotive Engineering ratings.
