KALAMAZOO, Mich. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation is bringing five heavy-duty trucks with the company’s new UltraShift PLUS automated transmissions to this year’s Mid-America Trucking Show, in Louisville, KY, for a special ride-and-drive event.  Attendees can sign up for the demonstration drive at the Roadranger® booth # 32175 in the South Hall.

At the booth, participants will be able to see the new UltraShift PLUS transmissions product displays as well as view a short video in the special Roadranger movie theater.  On March 25 and 26, attendees will have the option of test driving vehicles from a mix of truck makers in linehaul, heavy-haul and vocational chassis configurations that have been built with  UltraShift PLUS transmissions.

Eaton is showcasing the new transmissions so participants can get a firsthand perspective of the new transmissions’ combination of fuel efficiency, driving ease and performance.  Available in both overdrive and direct-drive models, Eaton’s UltraShift PLUS linehaul transmissions feature new automated clutch technology and intelligent shift selection software that employs grade sensing, weight computation, and driver throttle commands to make intelligent shift decisions for efficient, safe and profitable vehicle performance.
