EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. …Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced the availability of the CC-Series of quick-disconnect, full-flow pneumatic couplings that utilize an innovative design that effectively combines energy-efficient high flow capabilities with 200,000 cycle durability and industry-leading safety features.
The CC-Series is part of Eaton’s line of Hansen® and Coupleurs Gromelle™ products which were acquired by Eaton in December, 2010.
“CC-Series couplings are engineered to provide superior strength in a lightweight, non-marring, user friendly design that enhances workplace productivity,” said Brett Jaffe, couplings business director, Eaton. “They feature nickel-plated brass bodies and crush-resistant plastic sleeves with rounded ends to protect finished surfaces. The use of CC-Series couplings also eliminates dangerous hose whip to enhance worker safety.”
Eaton’s CC-Series couplings utilize a safe, two-sleeve activation system, can withstand up to 4,500 pounds of external force without cracking, and have exceeded 200,000 activation cycles without leakage. They can accept multiple plug profile configurations that significantly reduce downtime in switching air tools.
Hansen couplings have been technology leaders since 1915 when Fred Hansen developed the first quick-disconnect coupling. As part of Eaton’s Hydraulics Group the products, technology, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities of Hansen and Coupleurs Gromelle significantly enhance Eaton’s ability to serve diverse hydraulic and pneumatic market needs.
