EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. …Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced the availability of the FF-Series of flat-face quick-disconnect hydraulic couplings offering dry-break connections for contamination-sensitive applications. The FF-Series is part of Eaton’s line of Hansen® and Coupleurs Gromelle™ products which were acquired by Eaton in December, 2010.
Eaton’s Hansen FF-Series couplings meet or exceed the ISO 16028 standard applicable to this classification of quick-disconnect couplings.
“FF-Series couplings offer dry break or minimum spill performance as required in a broad range of applications where potential fluid leakage is an issue,” said Brett Jaffe, coupling business director, Eaton. “Unique features include corrosive-resistant black oxide treatment on the sleeve and plug nose, extra heavy knurling to provide a non-slip grip, and a beveled sleeve design with standard locking mechanism to prevent accidental disconnection. Adding to the versatility, a wide variety of color coded options are available to provide a visual mistake-proofing for cross connections.”
Eaton’s Hansen FF-Series couplings are rated for working pressures up to 5.057psi (350 bar) and are available in ¼”, 3/8” ½”, 5/8”, ¾”, and 1.0” sizes to meet a broad range of application requirements. Typical uses include agricultural, mining, construction, and railway equipment, overhead hoists, hydraulic tools, trucks, skid-steer loaders, injection molding machines, oil and gas industry equipment, public utilities, chemical processing equipment, and many general industrial applications.
Hansen couplings have been technology leaders since 1915 when Fred Hansen developed the first quick-disconnect coupling. As part of Eaton’s Hydraulics Group the products, technology, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities of Hansen and Coupleurs Gromelle significantly enhance Eaton’s ability to serve diverse hydraulic and pneumatic market needs.
