Eaton has selected its wide range of enclosures to feature as ‘Product of the Month’ on the www.poweringbusinessworldwide.tv website during June. The company’s exceptionally wide range of enclosures cover virtually every control and power distribution requirement and combine outstanding protection with durability and value for money.
A brief overview of the range, which includes wall- and floor-mounting options, modular all-insulated products, flat-pack enclosure systems and a readily configurable switchboard system, is provided by a short video that can be found at www.poweringbusinessworldwide.tv. To see the video, simply click on the Product of the Month tab at the top of the page.
Eaton CS-series sheet-steel wall-mounting enclosures feature robust construction and incorporate polyurethane seals. They provide IP55 protection, allowing them to withstand tough environmental conditions, and their corrosion-resistant finish ensures that they are maintenance free. CS enclosures offer a convenient and cost-effective choice for applications that include small motor control panels and sub-distribution systems.
For applications where totally insulated enclosures are preferred, Eaton offers its Halyester multi-box type enclosure system, which features glass-fibre reinforced and polyester products that are suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. Halyester is a modular system, which has been type tested in accordance with IEC 60439-1 to guarantee optimal operator safety. Halyester enclosures can be used to fabricate low voltage assemblies with IP66 protection and Form 4a separation.
Complementing the wall-mounting CS and Halyester ranges, Eaton’s floor standing XVTL enclosures are designed primarily to accommodate larger control and power distribution system in industrial and commercial applications. Fabricated from high quality sheet steel, they are offered in no fewer than 55 sizes with a choice of IP40 or IP55 protection, ensuring that exactly the right enclosure is available for every project.
The Profi+ enclosure range from Eaton includes both wall- and floor-mounting enclosures, all of which are supplied in flat-pack form, making them easy to handle and store prior to use. A high level of standardisation makes these steel enclosures, which are available in IP30 and IP54 versions, fast and easy to assemble, while their modular design provides exceptional versatility. Profi+ enclosures fully support multi-wiring systems and provide generous space for cable ducts.
Customised LV distribution boards with high power and fault ratings can be built easily and economically with Eaton’s xEnergy switchboard enclosure system. The system is particularly well suited for use in building infrastructure applications up to 4,000 A, and greatly simplifies the design and construction of fully type tested assemblies. xEnergy products can be supplied pre-assembled or in flat-pack form, and are complemented by the availability of a wide range of Eaton components and integrated systems for switchboard applications.
