Eaton’s Rich Holder Accepts Award for Company’s 20 Years of Contribution to Economic Development in the Dominican Republic

PITTSBURGH … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that Richard D. Holder, president, Electrical Components for Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Sector, has accepted recognition from Dr. Leonel A. Fernández Reyna, President of the Dominican Republic, honoring Eaton’s contribution to the business development of the country. The award ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Santo Domingo, on October 20. Holder was also the guest speaker today at a luncheon held by the Dominican Association of Free Zones, Inc. (Asociación Dominicana de Zonas Francas, Inc. - ADOZONA) to commemorate the awards.

With historical links to the previous Westinghouse Power Distribution operations, Eaton has manufactured industrial and residential power distribution equipment at the Haina campus in the Dominican Republic for more than 20 years. Eaton is also involved in the community near its operations, donating to local charities and educational initiatives, including contributions to local school construction, regional disaster relief, and local sports and conservation programs, and participating in a wide array of community organizations and events.
Holder is responsible for Eaton Electrical Sector’s Industrial Controls, Residential Products Division, and Low-Voltage and Medium-Voltage Circuit Breaker Divisions. He has a bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, and a master’s degree in business from Webster University in St. Louis. He served in the United States Marine Corps and currently serves on the board of the Juvenile Law Center in Philadelphia.
