EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that it has received a 2011 Supplier Excellence Award from Motion Industries, an Eaton distributor based in Birmingham, Alabama. The award, part of the distributor’s Supplier Partnership program, recognizes the efforts of Eaton to reduce Motion Industries’ cost of doing business and increase efficiency throughout the supply chain.
Eaton earned recognition for its innovative and technical support of electronic communications, such as purchase order acknowledgements, advanced shipping notifications and invoicing. Eaton’s electronic procurement-to-payment initiatives enable the distributor to quickly three-way match invoices for immediate payment approval.
