Christopher J. Roche Appointed Eaton Vice President, Innovation Center, Corporate Technology

MILWAUKEE … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today that Christopher J. Roche has been named vice president, Innovation Center, Corporate Technology, effective March 1, 2012.  Roche will report to Lennart Jonsson, executive vice president and chief technology officer and will have offices in both Southfield, Mich., and Milwaukee, Wis.

Eaton’s global Innovation Center team involves technologists around the world that drive growth in the company through advances in power management technologies. Eaton has positioned centers within cross-functional facilities in the United States, India, China and most recently the Czech Republic. Members are engaged in the task of conceiving new business ideas and develop technology to help Eaton’s power management solutions operate more efficiently, effectively, safely and sustainably.

“Chris brings a wide breadth of engineering and technology experience to the Innovation Center,” said Jonsson.  “He has delivered great results for Eaton’s Electrical and Industrial Sector and knows how to drive innovation and new programs to fuel our growth.”

Roche joined Eaton in 2003 as division engineering manager for the Industrial Controls Division of the Electrical Sector. In 2008, he became director of embedded controls Center of Excellence for the Industrial Sector and has successfully built this capability across the sector’s business groups.

Prior to working at Eaton, Roche held various engineering leadership roles in systems and software development for Rockwell. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of North Texas.
