Barbara O’Dell Appointed Eaton Senior Vice President of Quality

CLEVELAND … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation (NYSE:ETN) today announced that Barbara O’Dell has been appointed senior vice president of quality effective April 30, 2012.
“Barbara brings a successful leadership track record and formidable industry-leading quality credentials to this important role,” said Uday Yadav, executive vice president, Eaton Business System. “She will work collaboratively with our businesses and corporate team to further enhance the quality of Eaton’s power management product portfolio.”
O’Dell joins Eaton from the Boeing Company, where she most recently served as vice president of quality for the 787 Dreamliner Program. Prior to that O’Dell held leadership roles of increasing responsibilities at Boeing including vice president of manufacturing and quality, director of supplier quality, tooling manufacturing business unit leader, tooling manager of the 777 Program and manufacturing engineering manager of the Fabrication Division. Prior to Boeing, O’Dell held strategic planning and manufacturing roles with Apple Inc., Quantum Inc. and Shugart Corporation.
O’Dell holds a master’s in business administration from Stanford University and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
