October 29, 2012… Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that its Aeroquip® Performance 624 firesleeve hose cover has been added to the National Hot Rod Association’s (NHRA) accepted products list for use as a temperature-resistant brake line covering, assuring racing enthusiasts that it provides protection from direct flame.
With the NHRA’s acceptance, Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance 624 firesleeve is authorized for use on Top Alcohol Funny Cars, Top Alcohol Dragsters, Nitro Funny Cars, Top Fuel Cars and other leading racing classes in which the NHRA mandates the use of a temperature-resistant brake line covering.

Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance 624 firesleeve is constructed of a uniform single layer of braided fiberglass tubing that is impregnated with flame-resistant silicone rubber. It offers a wide temperature range from -65°F to +500°F and handles molten splash up to 3,000°F.
