The workshop, entitled, New developments in electrical power measurement, distribution and control, will review the latest intelligent control panel and metering wiring solutions. The focus of the workshop will be on the use of digital electronic technology to provide enhancements to residual current devices as well as highlighting the developments in the communication capabilities of power circuit breakers such as localised and remote displays of power consumption, trip history recording and contact wear indication. In support of this workshop, Eaton will be showcasing its xEffect series of digital circuit breakers for use in residential and commercial buildings on its stand.
Eaton’s final workshop at 12noon and 4:00pm, Innovations in modular wiring accessories and wireless building automation, will be presented by Phil Williams, Product Marketing Manager. This workshop will look at the features and benefits for electrical contractors and installers of Eaton’s latest generation of modular grid-based wiring accessories, PREMERA MIX, and the incorporation of modular RF building controls. Details of how Eaton’s xComfort RF home automation controls can provide a simple solution to energy efficiency as well as safety and security will also be presented alongside details about their new Smart Home Controller environment and web/mobile apps.
As well as information about the products presented in the technical workshops, visitors to Eaton’s stand will be able to find out about other innovations including: SmartWire-DT technology - a versatile communications system that offers a simple solution to complex panel and machine wiring by providing a single multi-functioning cable - and Breaker Visu 3.0 – a system that enables the visualisation and automatic logging of energy distribution and consumption. Also on display will be Eaton’s Luminaire Supporting Coupler (LSC) plug-in lighting system and its Memera range of consumer units with optional KWh metering.
