Date: June 25, 2013
CLEVELAND… Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton received three awards for its commitment to diversity during the June 20 annual meeting of the Greater Cleveland Partnership. The Commission on Economic Inclusion, a GCP program, provided its annual Best-in-Class awards for diversity achievement in three categories: nonprofit/government organizations, large corporations and middle market organizations.
Eaton was recognized for board diversity along with University Hospitals in the nonprofit/ government category and Lifebanc in the middle market group. In the area of supplier diversity, Eaton was joined by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority in the nonprofit/government group and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland in the middle market category.
“We congratulate all the winners and also appreciate the local recognition for Eaton’s commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said Cathy Medeiros, Eaton vice president of global inclusion and diversity.” “Eaton is committed to the continued development of a culturally diverse workforce that recognizes, values and leverages the unique perspectives and backgrounds of our global employees.”
This is the third time Eaton was recognized for supplier diversity, as was the Federal Bank of Cleveland. For this reason, both organizations were inducted into the Commission on Economic Inclusion’s Hall of Fame for their achievements in supplier diversity. Eaton previously was inducted into the Hall of Fame for senior management diversity.
Eaton is a diversified power management company providing energy-efficient solutions that help our customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power.
