In the ultra fast-paced world of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, downtime is not an option.  The raceway’s media and technology partner, IMS Productions, handles the demanding task of providing all video services for the Indy Car Series – and a wide range of entertainment and sports events. 

At state-of-the-art studios just across from the speedway, IMS Productions relies on rack after rack of critical servers, blade storage devices and video equipment. With multiple Eaton Powerware 5125 uninterruptible power systems already in use, the studio chose to upgrade to a single, robust three-phase system – choosing Eaton’s 9355 UPS. 
 

The competitively priced 9355 UPS protects vast amounts of raceway data – including historical footage and current projects.  The production studio has declared the 9355 to be a solid winner, as they’ve been able to ride smoothly through frequent power anomalies.  As high-definition TV arrives on the scene, the 9355 UPS also provides capacity to expand well beyond the initial 20kVA.
