Metrics 2012

Eaton’s global efforts to reduce emissions from our operations are driven by both worldwide initiatives and individual projects at manufacturing plants and other facilities. From 2006 to 2011, we reduced our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 23.3 percent, indexed to sales, which exceeds our Business Roundtable goal of an 18 percent reduction by 2012. We have expanded that commitment by pledging to reduce our global energy use by 25 percent, indexed to sales, between 2006 and 2016, as a member of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Save Energy Now LEADER program.
