Shoe Brakes
Eaton offers two field proven shoe brake designs for application on rotating loads requiring braking and holding torque. Mill duty GH505 is DC operated available in six wheel sizes with torque ratings from 50 lb.ft. to 4000 lb.ft. Industrial 511 is AC or DC operated available in three wheel sizes with torque ratings from 3 lb.ft. to 85 lb.ft.
DC Magnetic Operated-GH505
Eaton offers the most simple design of any brake on the market with only 35 parts. This simplicity means maximum reliability, as well as ease in installation and maintenance. GH505 magnetic brakes comprise a complete family of heavy-duty brakes for use on crane hoist, crane travel, and other machinery requiring electro-mechanical shoe brakes.
Industrial Duty Solenoid Operated-511
511 Solenoid Operated Shoe Brakes are rated 3 lb.ft. to 85 lb.ft. and used in parking or service applications including; conveyors, machine tools, printing presses, light duty cranes, overhead doors, dumb waiters, vacuum molding machines, and carnival rides.
