The two-layer, 100 percent solid thermosetting cathodic epoxy coating applied to these rugged, die cast pushbuttons provides a flat black, smooth, consistent and corrosion-resistant surface that has passed a demanding 600-hour salt spray test—four times longer than the industry-standard test.
- Eaton's contact blocks feature enclosed silver contacts with pointed reliability nibs. To ensure reliable switching, these nibs bite through oxide, which can form on silver contacts, eliminating the need for expensive logic level blocks for most applications.
- Drainage holes prevent the buildup of liquid inside the operator, which can prevent operation in freezing environments.
- E34 cathodic coating is not recommended for use in applications where UV light exposure exists. 10250T pushbuttons are recommended for use in such applications.
