Anti-Counterfeiting
Counterfeits, re-labeled, and used products pose a significant safety hazard to the electrical industry. In addition counterfeit and gray market products expose users to the risk of lost production/revenues and potential liability.
Eaton's online Circuit Breaker Authentication (CBA) tool is intended to provide customers with the ability to authenticate Eaton molded case circuit breakers through 400A. The CBA is designed to detect a counterfeit circuit breaker based on information provided by the user. It should not be the sole means for authentication but used as part of a process to identify counterfeit products. An authentic response does not guarantee age, condition, usability, or suitability of the authenticated product for any application.
The best way to avoid counterfeit electrical products is to always purchase products from the manufacturer's authorized distributors or resellers. If you have reason to suspect that you've purchased a counterfeit product, contact the manufacturer. Contact Eaton at report_fakes@Eaton.com.
