Gerotor/Geroler Motors
Eaton is proud to be recognized as an industry leader in Low-Speed, High-Torque (LSHT) hydraulic motor technology with our Char-Lynn® product line. With a design based on the Orbit Principle in which an internal gear rotates inside of an external fixed gear, these motors are known for their reliable high-power density, modularity and economic design.
Each of the three Char-Lynn product lines include a wide variety of available displacements customizable specifically for application needs:
- Spool valve motors
- Disc valve motors
- VIS (Valve-in-Star) motors
Disc Valve Motors
Available in standard mount, wheel mount, or bearingless configurations, Eaton disc valve motors allow higher flows and pressures than spool valve motors, resulting in higher torques and efficiencies.
Spool Valve Motors
Featuring hydrodynamic journal bearings optimized for long life, Eaton Spool valve motors distribute pressurized fluid into the Gerotor or Geroler® orbit gear set for smooth performance over a longer period of time.
VIS Motors
Eaton VIS motors are small but powerful solutions for closed-loop applications that provide higher pressure capability and better efficiency than other types of Low-Speed, High-Torque (LSHT) hydraulic motors.
