Technology: Dual Displacement
Eaton’s Dual Displacement technology is achieved by connecting two gerotors with a shift valve that automatically directs the flow through the small gerotor in the case of an emergency (loss of power, pressure). In the powered mode, both gerotors are engaged to steer the vehicle. In the unpowered mode, the smaller gerotor is engaged automatically for emergency steering.
Dual Displacement technology is available on XCEL45 and Series 10 steering control units.
