Standard Cast Pipeline Strainers
These Simplex and Duplex Strainers are used for:
Select units are shock and vibration test qualified for installation in both combat and support ships. Materials of construction are typically carbon steel or cast ductile iron for fuel or lube oil service and Bronze or Aluminum Bronze for cooling water.
Mechanically Cleaned Filters
High pressure DCF automatic filtration technology is used to separate solids from an oil/water mix on an FPSO (floating production, storage, offloading) vessel. DCF filters minimize waste volume and can effectively handle emulsions. These systems are designed to handle ship moments.
Fabricated Pipeline Strainers
Large diameter, custom fabricated strainers of alloy construction are used in support ships for cooling water and fire suppression service. Material of construction is typically Copper Nickel.
Gas/Liquid Separators
Gas/Liquid Separation for Steam and Compressed Air are used to remove moisture droplets and scale. Currently installed in the Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers in the steam system.
