Description: The AF Drives Commissioner Certification program provides factory authorized certification of personnel responsible for the installation and commissioning of adjustable frequency drive products from Eaton Corporation. The instruction provides a high level of technical detail related to the set-up and operation of three-phase motor controls, including the NFX / MVX OEM drives and the X-Series industrial drives. Successful completion of this program allows participants to offer a one-year extension to the standard two-year warranty available for all Cutler-Hammer AF Drive products from Eaton Corporation. Participation in this program is required before attending the training course, SVX9000 Drives Service Provider Certification Tier 4. The Commissioner and Service Provider Certification programs are scheduled sequentially and participants should attend both programs in sequence.

General Notes:
Products supported in this training include the NFX / MVX OEM drives and the SLX / HVX / SVX / CPX / LCX industrial drives. Limited instruction related to remote control, data display, and connectivity topics is provided.



Participants are encouraged to use their own personal laptop computer when appropriate during the training. Minimum requirements include the Windows 2000 operating system with a functional serial port (or USB - serial converter). Software, cabling, and hardware will be provided as necessary for the completion of activities used in the workshop.

Proper apparel is recommended for activities involving the interaction with electrical and mechanical controls. Footwear with closed toe, closed heel, and flat soles is recommended. Eye and hearing protection will be provided if necessary.

Enrollment confirmation will be sent to each participant prior to the start of training. Do not arrange travel until enrollment confirmation is received.

Eaton reserves the right to cancel any workshop session that does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement. Cancellation notification will be sent prior to the start of the training.

Refreshments and a mid-day meal is provided with this training. Any dietary considerations should be indicated on all registration materials.

Other Prerequisites:
This workshop requires a high degree of technical ability related to industrial controls. It is not intended for personnel who will not install AF Drives. For personnel responsible for the sales and basic support of AF Drives, the Control Solutions Workshop is recommended.
