Description: This one-and-one-half-day course focuses on measuring and proposing solutions including Low Voltage Pow-R-Way III busway and non-segregated phase bus duct. Teams of participants will measure both types of busway in a "real-world" factory production floor environment in order to produce a Bid Manager configuration and a proposal for the customer, complete with layout measurements. A session on the basics of accurate measurement, guidelines for quality proposals, meeting with plant personnel, and working in the factory mezzanine will provide opportunity for practicing busway and bus duct solutions.

Course Objectives Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: Locate, identify, and utilize product information and application resources; Explain the features, functions and benefits of busway; Recognize opportunities to sell and know how to support low voltage Pow-R-Way III busway and non-segregated phase bus duct; Compile bus run measurements and generate a proposal; Produce a Bid Manager busway takeoff according to customer specifications and drawings, complete with layout measurements; Understand plant processes and manufacturing capabilities as well as know product line contacts.

Course Time: Course Time: Day 1 is 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Day 2 is 8:00AM - 12:00PM.

Course includes course materials, continental breakfast, and lunch. Half-day sessions include continental breakfast only. Airfare, lodging and ground transportation are not included. You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. Do not make travel arrangements until you receive a confirmation from Eaton University. A penalty fee will be charged for late cancellation and no-shows. Please bring your laptop loaded with the latest version of Bid Manager. Proper "business casual" apparel is necessary for workshop activities involving interaction with electrical and mechanical controls in a manufacturing environment. Footwear with closed toe, closed heel, and flat soles is necessary. Eye and hearing protection will be provided if necessary. NOTE: Day 1 afternoon will be in the mezzanine above the manufacturing floor of the plant. Casual full-coverage wear such as jeans or "grubbies" and work shoes/boots would be best suited for this environment. If you own steel-toed protective footwear, please bring it with you.

Recommended Prerequisite - Busway Tier 2 (EU Course code EDUDCBUST2) or equivalent sales experience.
