Description: This course will Focus On Connectivity, providing the attendee with the necessary hands-on skill and tools to configure the Power Xpert software through its component pieces of PowerNet and PowerVision software. It is designed for engineers and technicians that design, install, and operate power management systems with PowerXpert communications capabilities. It provides a basic understanding of the architecture and configuration of PowerXpert software and hardware components. It is necessary to complete this training course prior to registration in the Power Xpert Software Web based training modules.

Note: Eaton Electrical Systems Integrators and EESS are required to complete certification testing at the conclusion of this training class. The certification test requires an extra day to complete, making this training a four-day commitment. End users and others who attend this training require only three days.

Class Cost $1695 Course Objectives
-Configuration of traditional C-H Devices that communicate with the Power Xpert server core through PowerNet Software, i.e. meters and protective relays etc.
-Configuration of traditional PowerWare devices that communicate with the Power Xpert Server Core via PowerVision software, i.e. UPS’s, PDU’s, etc.
-Alarming and Trending
-Configuration of Power Xpert Devices directly to the Power Xpert Server Core, i.e. Power Xpert Meters, Power Xpert Gateways, UPS’s, etc.
-Set up and configuration of Incom, Modbus and Ethernet communications interfaces, i.e. Netlink, E-Mint, PXG400 gateway, PX Meters, etc.
-Configuration of devices in the Power Xpert Server Core Software

System Integrator, End Users, Power System Operators, Electricians, Technicians, EESS start-up Engineers. General Notes
Course Time: Days one, two & three: 8:00am – 4:30 pm; Day four: 8:00 a.m. till test completion.
Note: the fourth day is required for EESS and System integrators for Certification Exam. Testing is administered in a morning and afternoon session. Students that test in the a.m. session are typically done by 12:00 noon. Students that test in the p.m. session are typically done by 4:00 pm.
Course cost includes continental breakfast, lunch and course materials. Airfare, lodging and ground transportation are not included. You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. Do not make travel arrangements until you receive a confirmation.

Other Prerequisites – Experience with industrial electrical Metering and Protective Relays, Uninterruptible Power Supplies and Windows XP.
