The Power Xpert® Gateway Family (PXG) provides Web-enabled, real-time monitoring of electrical distribution and control equipment. The PXG makes integrating power equipment onto an Ethernet network fast and easy. The PXG is typically installed in an electrical assembly–a motor control center, low/medium voltage switchgear or switchboard to consolidate data available from components such as breakers, meters, motor controllers and protective relays.
The Power Xpert Gateway 400
Through standard onboard Web pages, including device summary pages with drill down to detailed individual device pages and intuitive pages for device configuration, Power Xpert Software or third-party software, the PXG 400 allows you to closely monitor the performance of your power infrastructure with easily accessed, real-time, Web-enabled data.
The Power Xpert Gateway 600
The PXG 600 offers all the capabilities of the PXG 400, and more. The PXG 600 offers data logging, event logging and waveform capture and downloading. The PXG allows you to use common programs such as Excel and a standard COMTRADE waveform viewer to easily view, save and archive data logs, event logs and waveforms. This “use what you know” approach streamlines data gathering and logging. It also saves you time and money by requiring no investment in new software and training.
Key benefits of the Power Xpert Gateway Family:
Reduced costs by integrating with your existing Ethernet network infrastructure and having a system-wide view of your power system without additional equipment or network investment.
Web-enabled monitoring of power quality data. Clear, concise Web pages offer Web-browser access to vital, immediate power quality information and device status. Instantly view measured parameters such as current, voltage, power, energy, frequency, power factor, voltage TDH through a system summary status pane or individual device detail pages. Further expand your system view with via Power Xpert Software, allowing you to view multiple PXG400s and other power distribution and control equipment for more extensive power quality analysis capability.
Open communication protocols. Connects to both Eaton and third-party electrical equipment and communicates with industrial protocols–INCOM™, QCPort and Modbus® RTU. Modbus TCP support facilitates integration with third-party monitoring solutions.
A flexible and expandable solution, supporting up to 64 devices, adding devices as needed. Stand-alone or small systems will benefit from comprehensive, on-board Web pages that provide virtually out-of-the-box, plug and play functionality. Larger systems, such as campus installations or power systems with remote locations, can view multiple PXG 400s using either Eaton’s Power Xpert Software or another monitoring system of your choice. View vital power system information, no matter which vendors’ system you have.
