CVX Series Surge Protective Devices (SPDs)
Devices formerly called transient voltage surge suppressors (TVSS) are now called surge protective devices (SPD). The newest SPD is CVX, the first UL 1449 third-edition SPD in the market, with a best-in-industry nominal discharge current of 20,000 amps. The CVX is designed with high-surge-density construction that provides 100kA protection in a four-inch-square footprint. From a cost standpoint, it is an economical solution for OEM applications in standard control panels.
